The Holy Communion
The Holy Communion , is a very holy thing for Christians as Jesus had given the bread (his body) and the wine (his blood) and he gave it to his 12 disciples . It is an important sacrament, also called the EUCHARIST.
He said ," This is my body given for you; do this in remembrance of me." while taking bread, giving thanks and breaking it. (Luke 22:19)
After taking the cup , he gave thanks and said , " This cup is the new covenant in my blood , which is poured out for you for the forgiveness of sins ." (Luke 22:20)
So , Christians observe the Holy Communion every Sunday or every 1st Sunday and Maundy Thursday. It is usually for children above 10 years. Catholics do earlier than Protestants. I have done it at the age of 17 years as my church told so.
