Field Visit #2 : MULA DAM , RAHURI

Mula Dam , Rahuri , Ahmednagar ..

We went to Rahuri via savedi road of Ahmednagar . Quite dry climate was there and slightly arid grasslands , villages and farms . Going to Rahuri was quite a challenge for us as there was many inner roads and finding it was difficult even in Google Maps . Network was fluctuating , many roads ( we went the wrong way twice ) and locals were telling various directions . Finally , we reached the correct road . As we went deeper into Rahuri village , there were canals , rivers and slight greenery like Amritsar . Beautiful clouds were surrounded showing the best afternoon sun..

When we reached the dam water , we felt splendid !! Such clean and crystal water , in India .. Also we felt little Rajasthani vibes here . We felt heat and humidity .

River fish are caught . One of its delicacy is green fish fry and curry.. which I love a lot.. there are shops which sell fishing tools , Ahmednagar souvenirs and resorts & hotels which sell seafood...

As we entered , we saw a bunch of trees and a clear footpath welcoming us . Dogs and beautiful birds were also seen . As we saw the scenery , there were farms , windmills which produce wind energy and roads and the beautiful sun shining upon us .

We saw that the depth of the dam water is 1350 feet , so deep !! And the dam water management was quite smooth and nice . We clicked a lot of pics . We saw pebbles , grass ,etc. under the water . Boating is also done but that wasn't there now.
